Deep in the Nevada desert is a U.S. military base surrounded by such secrecy that the U.S. government has long denied the very existence. The base was built by the CIA and all pilots, ground crew and the staff has run due to withdraw from its original military departments to adopt a definitive residence on the site. As installation of the CIA, it operates independently of other government departments.

Built in the 50s around the Air Force base at Groom Lake and close to the area for nuclear testing in Nevada, Area 51 was a great place to carry out research on top-secret aircraft.
It was a large flat surface, ideal for hiding runways, few local residents, and a reputation decidedly unattractive due to nuclear pollution in the vicinity.
Initially it was built primarily for testing the U2 spy plane, but the program was so successful that all aircraft in the U.S. intelligence came together in this basis. Area 51 is so grown in size, creating its own small community and the landing strip was increased to a length of 3 miles (nearly 5 km).
The Blackbird and Stealth planes were developed on the site, and an innumerable amount of unknown technologies are kept in the hangar of the base. Many people feel that these technologies are, literally, from another planet and the base is currently an area to test and conceal extraterrestrial aircraft.
